I want to send my deepest gratitude and love to all the wonderful people who helped us weave the beginning steps of The Forbidden Chair. Its Carmona Pictures first pursuit into feature filmmaking. Because of people like our cast, crew, family and friends; we continue to successfully grow. In comparison to our 1st project in 2002, our crew has doubled in size and has advanced 100% in production value. We owe it all to you, Visionaries, who have continuously believed in our films. Carmona Pictures thanks you for your support and promises to continue creating films that INPSIRE!!! Films that are imaginative...Films that will make you feel and think.
I had two main concerns about what I wanted to accomplish with The Forbidden Chair. First, I wanted the audience to take this journey with Faith (Michelle Glick). I wanted them to feel her struggles, her weaknesses, her grief, her change, and mostly, her growth. Secondly, how I would translate this through the camera. It all boiled down to one thing...Pre-Production!! Our team spent 6 months in pre-production. As a visual person, I wanted everything on camera to mean something. Set designs had to create the atmosphere of what was happening at that point of the film. Wardrobe expressed the personalities of these characters. The colors they wore to the colors on the wall exposed emotion. It was all calculated into how everything would unfold the story.
There are a few selected people I want to personally thank for going the extra mile:
My darling friend, Sophia Leang, you are a true GEM!! I will never forget all the endless hours and full devotion you have given me.
Anton Gurevich, you said youd get the permits and you did. If you ever need me to fetch you coffee on your films sets, I will.
Nicole Maffei, my confidant, weve been through it all. You always knew I would get this far. Even when I didnt.
Bill Miller, DP, thank you for bringing my words to LIFE!!!
My Star, Michelle Glick, who climbed down a huge cliff on a thunderous, rainy night. This movie would not be a movie without you.
Ryan Watt, thank you for getting the Thrift Shop!!!!!!
JJ Huckin, leading male, with full courage and no hesitation you grew your hair and beard for our film. THANKS!!!!!!!
*And mostly, my Mom, my vision of strength and perseverance!
